Established in 1923, SNIPEF is the trade association for plumbing and heating businesses which operate in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Using a SNIPEF plumber ensures that you will choose from a list of qualified, competent and financially secure businesses. By using one of our members you also have access to an independent complaints procedure, in the unlikely event that something goes wrong.

SNIPEF manages the Modern Apprenticeship scheme for the plumbing and heating industry in Scotland. The industry currently recruits around 500 apprentices each year in Scotland. In Northern Ireland, PMST, acts as the managing agent for the plumbing apprentice scheme.

SNIPEF provides members with invaluable assistance in helping them run their businesses more efficiently and profitably. We offer advice on technical, health and safety, education, training and employment issues as well as offering a range of services that save members money.

The SNIJIB is the body which is responsible for setting the terms and conditions of service for those that work in the industry. The JIB also maintains a register of operatives and apprentices.
